Cacio above is right-that Otzi's Mt K1 is not too rare, lots of modern folks got it,but Otzi's particular strain of it died out long ago with him-same will probably will happen to most people unless they get to breedin' a whole lot of their own strain of something.miz RAND BLOWTONhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13306476695686165653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785493.post-5099003746588890252008-10-31T23:07:00.000+02:002008-10-31T23:07:00.000+02:00I just looked up http://www.landschaftsmuseum.de/B...I just looked up
http://www.landschaftsmuseum.de/Bilder/Oetzi-Rek_Ausschn-1.jpg and found that he guy looks like Pavarotti. Nobody has all the specific mutations of Otzi, but there are other isolated K1. It's not that it is a deep lineage that disappeared. Most lineages so far have no matches. For instance, my own mtdna has not even HVR1 matches. Otzi's HVR1 would match millions of people.

http://forums.familytreedna.com/showpost.php?p=103162&postcount=4

caciocaciohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17902017914305322799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785493.post-74387628848548067312008-10-31T01:05:00.000+02:002008-10-31T01:05:00.000+02:00Here's a reconstruction of the 5'4" encino man..w...Here's a reconstruction of the 5'4" encino man..well I suppose its him,

http://www.landschaftsmuseum.de/Bilder/Oetzi-Rek_Ausschn-1.jpgCrimson Guardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08259882884691575025noreply@blogger.com
