Happy Independence Day! Today we Greeks are reminded of our unity. We Greeks are not splintered into different countries, like Arabs are, for example. My wish is that we are never separated from one another by national boundaries.
From the mountains of Epirus to the coasts of Cyprus, we are one people. We must never lose our identity. We must limit the influx of foreigners into Greece. We can do our own manual labor. We must not become like the U.S., which lets in anyone and is plagued by social problems that are rife among certain groups, where crime statistics approach those of third world countries. We must not allow Greece to be like the U.S., where it seems like it's worse to hurt feelings than people.
Great song on the video, "Saranta Palikaria" (40 brave young men), coming from Livadia to my ancestral region to fight the Turks. They encounter an old man, who asks them where are they going. They say they are going to Tripolitsa (in this song, Dropolitsa).
Thanks Liquid! It does resemble some of his plates, like the Type A-Basic-White , Type B-Mediterranean and the Type F-Dinaric-Med . Its a well done composite if it is.
